Placement Consultant

Up to £23, 000

Full-Time

Role Purpose:

My Client is a well-established Training Provider and they are looking to recruit a Placement Consultant to deliver a comprehensive and high-quality work placement service to employers and 16-23 year old students and Trainees that result in jobs and the take up of Apprenticeships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

·        Continually create and refresh an extensive caseload of businesses that enable individual and company Work Placement (including Traineeships) targets to be met across all occupational area.

·        Proactively carry out sales activity including cold calling, telesales and structured e-marketing and digital campaigns to employers and candidates to promote services

·        Carry out a professional and high-quality employer resourcing service

·        Ensure Work Placements are high quality (Fair Train Gold Standard compliant) and meet H&S, E&D and safeguarding requirements

·        Carry out timely progress reviews and provide interventions/resolutions to barriers to progression

·        Agree and set targets with students to ensure learning and performance targets are met and exceeded.

·        Provide guidance, support and training services to recently employed/placed individuals

·        Constructively attend meetings, careers fairs, events and other promotional/sales activities

·        As required, to deliver employability related modules to prepare students for placement

·        Update company MI systems as required to log employer and student interactions

·        To comply with all company H&S and Safeguarding processes and procedures. 

·        To create and carry out all associated administration and funding paperwork to the meet the needs of policy and funding requirements

 

Key Skills / Experience:


·        Experience of working within an Employer Engagement / Youth Engagement role

·        Proven organisation, project management and tracking skills

·        Excellent end to end recruitment skills

·        Knowledge of training, education & employment opportunities locally & nationally (including Study Programmes, Traineeship and Apprenticeships)

·        Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills to businesses at all levels

·        Ability to priorities workload and operate within a fast moving and target driven environment

·        Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure, demonstrating personal resilience without constant direct supervision

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills

·        IT skills, e.g. use of Microsoft Office suite (word, excel, power point and outlook)

·        Current full UK Driving License and access to a car

·        Comprehensive empathy with the issues effecting unemployed young people.
